So, if you’re feeling attacked, remember that whatever he says isn’t true. That “one little sin isn’t gonna hurt you” “oh, you can repent later”.”you can cut”, “that abuse was your fault”, “you are worthless & God could never love you” ALL LIES.
All he wants is to destroy the children of God & steal your joy.. He doesn’t want yall to make it into the Kingdom!
"……He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” - John 8:44
Keep on praying & reading the beautiful Word.
They aren’t superhumans. They are susceptible to sin like us, & go through many trials like us. We may see them doing their thing at the pulpit & in the pews, giving to the needy & encouraging the weary but don’t know what’s going on in their heads. I say this because a pastor recently committed suicide. Don’t put them on pedestals & think everything is all hunky-dory. Pray that they hold on to the Lord, rejoice in their sufferings & that they continue to teach the sound doctrine .
People can beat me down but they’re never going to stop me. Can’t stop. Won’t stop.
The Father did not send a substitute to earth. HE came down. That was Emmanuel in the manger. God with us. Not a third of God. All of God.
It’s time to go
Let the whole world know
You are God, You are God
Come on let’s go
And let the fire show
You are God, You are God
He always knows what is the best to you . Trust god
Galatians 5:19-21 (NLT)
When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
Thank you Lord for this reminder ♥
Im crying out to God to let him know that im nothing without him, can’t breathe, walk, talk, can’t be, live, think, see. I wasn’t focusing on him. He got my attention now all i desire is to keep my eyes on him. He is my love. I can’t believe i thought that MAN could satisfy that. Im picking myself back up, so it’s gonna be ok :)
(From towritelife) “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Matthee24:36.
How would a Oneness Pentecostal explain this verse?
First of all I want to explain that I am not going to debate on this topic. I will, however, give a concise explanation and then point you to resources that will explain in broader and deeper detail that I am able to at this time. Second, I have not been ignoring this question. It just happens that I recieved the question in my mail box at atime when I have been unexpectantly called away. Due to travel accomodations and other restraints, it has been hard to put two words together without sounding like an idiot. And finally, I wish to thank those of you, and especially towritelife, for having patience with slow poke me.
Now on with the subject….
There can be no explanation without the definition and understanding of Who God is.
God is a spirit, invisible to human eyes, unique, and the Creator of all life. (Exodus 24:10, Luke 24:39, John 4:24, John 1:18)
God is not a man (Numbers 24:19, Job 9:32)
God is the only God. There are not 2 or 3 gods. There are not 2 or 3 who work in concert as one God. He is unique, and He alone is God. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 44:6,8,24)
God is our Father, Lord, and King. (Psalm 24:10,Isaiah 43:15)
Jesus declares (shows / points to) God and makes Him known to us. (John 1:18)
Jesus is the “Visible Image of the Invisible Spirit that is God” (Isaiah 7:4, John 14:8-9)
Jesus is God manifested in the flesh. (I Timothy 3:16, Colossians 2:9)
Jesus is “The Father” incarnate. Jesus is “The Father ” manifested in the Son of Man. (Hebrews 1:1-3, II Corinthians 4:4, Colossians 1:15,19, John 5:43, I John 14:28)
Jesus is both God and humanity. (Isaiah 9:6, Isaiah 7:4, Galatians 4:4, Matthew 1:20, John 1:1,14, John 8: 19,24,)
We were redeemed by the blood of God. (Acts 20:28)
Paul, Peter, and Thomas call Jesus their God, Lord, and Savior. (John 20:28, Titus 2:13, II Peter 1:1)
As God, Jesus had all power and knowledge. He held all wisdom. As a human, Jesus was limited by the flesh. He laid aside His wisdom and knowledge and power to fulfill the requirements of the contract God had made with Humanity to reconcile us with Himself in His righteousness. (II Corinthians 5:19)
As God Jesus had knowledge of the Second Coming, but as a humanbeing, Jesus was as limited as we are when it comes to Godly knowledge. The Spirit of God spoke through the humanity of Christ to implant knowledge to us.
As a human, God prayed in the garden. As a human God was baptized by John the Baptizer to fulfill all righteousness.
I hope this helps you understand a little better.
The Oneness of God by David K. Bernard is an excellent resource if you are curious to understand more deeply. Also, Ken Raggio (kenraggio.com) has a great teaching section on The Oneness of God.
